Scott Walker packs his own brown bag lunch every day before heading to the office (two ham and cheese sandwiches on wheat), and drives a 1998 Saturn with 100,000 miles to cut back on costs.
He approaches his county budget the same way he approaches his family budget - cutting out waste and doing more with less. What do you do to save in your family budget?
How refreshing.....a politician who will spend the people's money like it was his own. Get ready Madison for Scott Walker is coming and will do what he needs to do for the whole state.
When will the brown bag movement visit Platteville
again, or some place in Southwest Wisconsin ??
I hope it's not processed cheese food on your
sandwich, like we have to eat sometimes because
it's all we can afford.
Drive safe.

I can tell you what I'm not doing. I'm not spending millions of my own dollars (not that I have that much) to buy a Governor's race. (Ie. Mark Neumann)
We no longer have someone clean our home or do our lawn work. We eat out much less often, haven't had a vacation in over two years and our thermostat is set at 60. (While "Obama and Doyle money" is paying for heat for people that set their thermostats at 80 and leave their windows open)
Looking forward to you as our next Governor, Scott!
We cut way down on eating out - $20-$40 bucks a trip really hurts! Also cut down on the fast food runs before or after work - all those $1 value items add up.
Also, before making *any* purchase over a couple of bucks, wait one day and ask yourself if you really need it. The next day, if you realize it's something essential, go ahead and buy it - but eliminate the immediate gratification.
Finally someone who understands it's OUR money they're spending! We take advantage of double coupon day at Pick 'N Save, rent movies instead of going out and go to the library instead of buying books.
Please take a few minutes to give us your thoughts on this subject.
